Equipment for Automotive Industries
Custom Automotive Labels, Nameplates, and Overlays
When you work in the automotive industry you have to work with a lot of complex equipment, machinery, and parts.
Hallmark Nameplate can help reduce risk and increase value through the use of durable automotive labels, nameplates, overlays, PCBs, and membrane switches.
Choose the Best Automotive Labels For Your Business
You might be wondering what kind of labels, overlays, and PCBs you need to choose for your automotive business.
To make the process easier, Hallmark Nameplate provides comprehensive information about materials, finishes, special processes, printing options, and all of their benefits and recommended uses so you can pick the perfect solution.
Automotive nameplates can help reduce the risk for anyone who comes in contact with automobile parts and equipment from the manufacturer to the end-user.
Nameplates provide crucial information for mechanics, inspectors, and users such as model information, serial codes, and any safety warnings.
Overlays in the Automotive Industry
Overlays provide visuals that can attract customers and reinforce your business’s branding.
Car overlays can enhance the users’ experience, making it easier to work with the cars or equipment. This can help increase the value of your products.
Safety labels can help you uphold auto regulations as well as requirements for branding.
Additionally, automobile labels can help track parts throughout the supply chain, making processes more efficient and cost-effective.
Automotive Electronic Assembly
Modern automobiles require complex automotive PCB assembly to function efficiently and safely.
From sensors to controls, our custom electronic assembly services ensure everything works efficiently.
Membrane Switch Panels in the Automotive Industry
Reliable switches are crucial to mitigating risk for the user. From brake controls to ARC switches, our membrane switch panels make operations as simple and intuitive as possible.
With tactile feedback, drivers do not have to take their eyes off the road to be sure they pressed a button on the dashboard.
Industry Certifications For Automotive Nameplates, Overlays & Labels
When working in the automotive industry, your facility and equipment may require materials with strict and precise specifications, certifications, or inspection procedures.
We are UL certified, RoHS, and ITAR compliant and a 3M Preferred Converter. Other certifications include ISO 13485:2016, ISO 9001:2015, and GPI.
ISO 9001 - This certification is for quality management systems based on procedures related to people, facilities, equipment, training, and services.
Underwriter Laboratories (UL) - Certifies security for products ensuring products meet safety requirements
Canadian Standards Association (CSA) - Certificate for high-risk products indicating that the product has been tested and meets high standards
Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive (RoHS) - Restricts the use of hazardous materials found in electrical and electronic products and equipment.
The International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) - Ensures the regulation of manufacturing and selling military-related technologies.
Materials For Automotive Nameplates, Overlays & Labels
Durability is very important when choosing materials in the automotive industry. Automotive equipment needs to be durable in all conditions and maintain its reliability. Some common, long-lasting materials you can choose from include:
Anodized Aluminum - Lightweight yet durable, anodized aluminum is suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications. It’s known for its corrosion and abrasion resistance and is lighter than other metals. Anodized aluminum can be customized with various colors and designs.
PhotoSensitive Aluminum (MetalPhoto) - MetalPhoto is extremely durable and unaffected by harsh indoor and outdoor conditions. It includes the process of sealing your image under a sapphire-hard anodic layer to protect it.
Polyester (Mylar®) – Polyester, also known as Mylar, is ideal for harsh indoor and outdoor environments, since it’s UV resistant, won’t fade in the sun, is non-yellowing, is electrical resistant, and can withstand extreme temperatures, water, abrasion, and chemicals.
Polycarbonate (Lexan®) – Lexan is a polycarbonate resin thermoplastic material that’s transparent, strong, tough, impact-resistant, and temperature resistant. It’s the best material to use where extreme temperatures or widely varying temperatures are a concern. This material is also resistant to scratches, corrosion, chemical abrasion, and water, and it expands and contracts without damaging the material.
Vinyl (PVC) – PVC vinyl, also known as polyvinyl chloride, is very rigid and extremely durable. However, unless it has UV overlaminate protection, it isn’t suitable for outdoor use. Properties of PVC include resistance to moisture and humidity as well as low cost.
